Today we are going to discuss on how much you can earn with Uber.
You may have heard that Uber Driver in KL may earn from RM2k to RM4k per month for becoming Uber Part timer, and RM8k to RM12k for Uber Full timer. But What about Uber in Penang? How much you can earn?
Well, according to the saying, you are able to earn around RM4k to RM5k per monthly if you become Uber Driver Full Time, and from RM1k to RM2k per month if you become Uber Driver part timer.
Uber Driver in Penang Earning
Personally, i have become one of the Uber driver since 3 weeks ago. Base on the past 2 weeks record, spending averagely 4-5 nights to complete 1o trips, with each night around 4-5 hours. As a results, I have earned minimum wages of RM200 per week. Here’s the of receipt and the statement.
On 1st week of November, i earned RM245.90 for completing 10 trips in 4 nights, averagely 4 hours per day.
On 2nd week of November, i’ve become a little bit lazy and with less luck, i earned RM211.98 after completing 10 trips in 5 nights, averagely 4 hours per day.
All statement are tally with the money deposited into my bank account. How they usually pay driver is based on weekly basis. They end the week on 4am Monday, and provide you statement on Tuesday and Subsequently Money into your account on Wednesday. It’s awfully efficient.
Notice that first week i earned for about RM254.90 Debited into my account, and subsequently RM211.98 into my account the following weeks. So it’s true that for a part timer, you are able to earn around RM1k to RM2k.
It also depends on the time you online. If you online on the super peak hour which is usually from 6am to 9am as part timer, your earning should be higher than what i can get.
HOW DO UBER GUARANTEE HOW MUCH YOU CAN EARN PER WEEK
We all know that becoming your own boss is very much depends on the season. Say taking selling coconut at the road side if it’s a sunny, hot all day long, expect you business is good. If it’s rainyday, then your coconut business will mostly likely having trouble getting the same business as in Hot Sunny day. Same to Uber. You may ask, if it’s a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, where Tourist is not at its peak and Business trip traveller is not travelling, just plainly depending on local, you may not earn as much as Friday to Monday.
Fortunately, since Uber is so Heavily funded, they have resolution for you. All you need to do is to make sure that you online at their Hotpsot Area, usually Tanjong Bungah, Bayan Lepas, Jelutong area and Airport, and with other few criterias mention below, you’ll get pay base on Minimum Guarantee Incentive per hour. Taking Morning 6 to 9 am for example. Uber Penang will pay RM13 for you per hour (before their 20% service fee) for you to online. If you able to make more than the minimum guarantee Incentive, you get more. Else, if you make just RM4 per hour, they’ll still pay you RM13(not yet deduct 20%) to you on that hour.
Of course there are terms and condition to meet the rewards. But it should be pretty straight forward for dedicated Uber driver to meet.
1. Acceptance Rate >90%.
Means you accept each and every Request.
2. Driver Rating >4.6 out of 5.
You just need to treat them nicely and ask customer politely to rate you 5.
3. Complete a trip every 2 hour, averagely in a week.
If you are not able to get any of a drive request in the morning peak hour, don’t be sad as they determine how many hour you online in a week and how many trips you manage to complete in a week. If you complete 11 trips with online 20 hours, you’ll still get the minimum guarantee Incentive.
Basically above will be the most important 3 criteria which will always be there. However, they will update all driver each or twice a week if there’s any changes on the fare or the incentive scheme.
Earning few hundred bucks may and may not be a lot for people. However, it is definitely much better than you utilize your free time to meet new people and earn money rather than browsing facebook, watching drama and do nothing at your spare time.
You can definitely give it a try with Uber Driver as they are so flexi that they won’t even penalise you if you are not online. Basically you choose your own time to to become Uber Driver.
